    For in-stock items:
    Most orders take 2-3 business days (Monday-Friday) for our warehouse in Maryland to pick, pack and ship.

    Orders immediately flow to the warehouse so we are unable to accommodate address edits, order changes or cancellations.

    For Print Shop items:
    Most orders will be processed within 2 to 5 business days in addition to the shipping time for the delivery method selected.

    We cannot make any changes, cancellations or address edits to Print Shop orders for any reason.

    TAXES
    Depending on your shipping destination, we will collect sales tax to be remitted to the appropriate US state. At this time, we collect sales tax for purchases made by all 50 US state residents.

    Shipping Canada Standard for Print Shop orders:
    Allow up to 12 business days from the ship date. Your package may be subject to a GST or HST tax rate of 5 to 15% depending on the destination province or territory. British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec, and Saskatchewan might also be subject to PST.

    Shipping Restrictions
    The Great Gatsby, The Old Man and the Sea, The Sun Also Rises - these products are only available to ship to the US.

    What could delay my order being shipped?

    At checkout, double check that your address is correct, and please do not use special characters or accents, as these issues may delay shipping.

    What Is Your Return Policy
    We hope our bookish products make you happy. If you are not completely satisfied with the items you received, we will gladly process an exchange or return within 30 days.

    Please send all returns in original condition (unworn, unwashed and with original tags attached). We ask that when you first try on our tees, you don't wear any cologne/perfume/deodorant that may cause a scent or mark on the item (or we might not be able to accept the return).

    Please kindly note that all shipping costs to send exchanges and returns to us are the responsibility of the customer. Customers must provide us with a tracking number for items sent to us for refunds or exchanges.

    We will either exchange the item for another comparable item of your choice or, if preferred, refund the purchase price upon receipt. We will refund delivery charges if you originally received a faulty product or if we shipped you the wrong item. Unless otherwise indicated, all exchanges will be sent out via standard shipping.

    **If your order included a promotion, the return may bring you under the promotional threshold and the amount of the refund will be reduced by the retail value of the free item.**

  • Sizing

    How Does Your Apparel Fit?

    Our shirts are super soft and treated to feel like they came from a different era. We use a variety of techniques to achieve this vintage look and feel. As a result, each of our shirts is unique with slight variations in color, distress and level of fading; wearing and washing continues this process.

    To ensure the best fit for you, be sure to refer to the fabric blend and size chart on each product page while browsing particular styles and follow garment care instructions.

    *Both of our Women's (crew, scoop, v-neck) and Men's/Unisex crew neck shirts are form-fitted. That said, most of our customers find that our men's / unisex shirts are generally true to men's standard sizing, and our women's line runs on the small side. Please note that we use various manufacturers for all of our shirts. Our women's and men's t-shirts vary in size from one style to the next. While one shirt in a large may fit perfectly, another in the same size may fit a bit differently. We include all information the manufacturer provides, such as fabric composition, general sizing recommendations, and the sizing chart in the details section of the individual product page. We always recommend that customers measure themselves against the individual size chart to help you make the best decision for your fit.

    How Can I Be Notified When The Size I Want Is Back In Stock?

    If the size you want is out of stock, you can be notified by email when it is back in stock. Toward the center of the product page, there will be a navy blue button that reads: NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE.

    Apparel
    Please see care instructions on inner neck label. In general for shirts, we recommend machine wash cold with like colors, tumble dry low, no iron and no bleach.

    For sweatshirts - machine wash cold and hang to dry.

    Regular Socks
    Machine wash warm. Tumble dry low. No bleach.

    Cozy Socks
    Machine wash cold with like colors. Use only chlorine-free bleach. Tumble dry on low. Do not iron.

    Boxers
    Machine wash warm. Wash with similar colors. Tumble dry low. No bleach.

    Totes and Pouches
    We recommend customers spot clean the tote bags and pouches as they get dirty instead of washing them. Typically you don't want to machine-wash a printed canvas bag because it can damage the print and shrink the fabric.

    If needed, the best way to keep it clean is to hand-wash with laundry detergent and warm water. For heavier stains, a scrub brush can be really effective, and for general grime, a terry cloth or regular wash-rag should do.

    *We do not recommend washing the colored tote bags. They are made with dyed canvas and are not colorfast.*

    Do Your Shirts Shrink?
    100% cotton shirts can shrink about 5 to 10% in the wash.

    Can Gift Cards Be Used In Conjunction With A Discount Code?

    Yes, gift cards are a form of payment. Unfortunately, Amazon gift cards are not accepted as a form of payment on Amazon Pay.

    How Do I Use My Gift Card?

    1. Add selections to your cart and go to the checkout page

    2. Enter your code in the Gift card code box under Payment method

    3. Click the "APPLY" button

    4. Your gift card code will automatically be applied to your order and will be reflected in your order total

    You can use multiple Out of Print gift cards on the same order.

  • Sales Tax Exempt requests

    For Sales Tax Exempt requests:

    Before placing your order, we will need the following information to submit your account for approval  

    1. Your sales tax exemption documentation. 
    2. The purpose of your order, please include information on whether the items will be resold or used as gifts/ prizes/ or donations.
    3. The shipping address - this address should match the organization listed on the tax-exempt documentation.
    4. The billing address for your form of payment. 

    If all the documentation provided is complete and up to date, most accounts are approved within three business days. Once your account is approved, we will create a tax-exempt customer account for you on our website and email you the link to activate your account. 

    Note: We can not refund sales taxes on orders shipped to an individual’s home address. We can not refund sales tax on existing or previous orders placed outside of an approved tax exempt account.

  • The Print Shop Collection

    The Print Shop Collection:

    This print-on-demand collection features t-shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, bucket hats, and mugs.

    Ordering

    Order Cancellations and Address Changes:
    We cannot make any cancellations or address changes to Print Shop orders for any reason.

    Production:
    Most Print Shop orders will be processed within 2 to 5 business days in addition to the shipping time for the delivery method selected.

    Delivery: Our Print Shop orders and in-stock orders will ship in different packaging from multiple fulfillment centers.

    Shipping Eligibility: The Print Shop is only available to ship to the US and Canada.

    Shipping US Orders: The shipping price will be reflected at the checkout. However, you will also receive a separate shipping charge if you also order in-stock products.

    Shipping US Standard: Allow up to 12 business days from the ship date.

    Shipping Canada Standard: Allow up to 12 business days from the ship date. Your package may be subject to a GST or HST tax rate of 5 to 15% depending on the destination province or territory. British Columbia, Manitoba, Quebec, and Saskatchewan might also be subject to PST.

    Exchanges and Returns: Since our products are custom printed, you may experience slight variances in size and color between orders. Exchanges are subject to availability.

    Damaged items: For damaged items, please provide a picture of the entire product including the design and a second picture with a close-up of the damaged area with the design in view.

    Incorrect items: If you receive an incorrect item, please provide a picture of the item you received and a second picture of your packing slip.

    CLEANING & CARE

    Shirts and Tank Tops: In general, we recommend that you machine wash our apparel inside out, on cold with like colors. Tumble dry low, no ironing and no bleach. In addition, please note that the 100% cotton shirts can shrink about 5 to 10%.

    Sweatshirts and Hoodies: We recommend that you wash our sweatshirts inside out. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and like colors. Tumble dry low, no iron and no bleach.

    Embroidered Sweatshirts and Hoodies: You will notice a thin, paper-like sheet placed on the inside and embroidered along with the design. This backing acts as a stabilizer and ensures that the designs look good and last a long time. We recommend that you wash our sweatshirts inside out. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent and like colors. Tumble dry low, no iron and no bleach. Do not wring out the sweatshirt or hoodie or wash with zippers or metal objects.

    Bucket Hats: We recommend you hand wash our hats in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Use a use a damp cloth on any spots. Do not use bleach or brushes.

    Mugs: White mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe. Black mugs are not dishwasher or microwave safe.

    Why does my shirt have a vinegar smell?
    When unpacking a new shirt or hoodie with a direct-to-garment (DTG) print, you might notice a vinegar-like smell or an off-white residue. Don't worry, that's not unusual - it's from a fixation agent applied during the printing process and it's not permanent.
    Fixation agent (sometimes known as pre-treatment) is used for all DTG prints across the industry. It helps the ink bond with the fabric, and without it, the ink would flake off the garment.The solution is simply to wash the garment! Neither the residue nor the smell is permanent and both should go away after one wash.

  • International Shipping

    January 31, 2023 was the last day we offered international shipping direct to consumers outside of the U.S.

    On February 1, 2023, we transitioned warehouse operations to a new facility and no longer offered this option.

    Update: As of September 23, 2024, we now ship to the 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., APO/DPO/FPO addresses, and Canada.

    We truly appreciate your support through the years and will actively work toward a sustainable solution to provide international shipping again in the future.

    In the meantime, we will maintain relationships with our international retail accounts so that our customers can still obtain a selection of products locally.
